Flyer Designs
Collection of three flyers done for the Student Government of St Pete College.
While living in Florida, near the Tarpon Springs area, I was commissioned by the then Student Government President to help create a series of flyers/posters for events being held on campus. Items created were for both the SGA (Student Government Association) as well as the various clubs.

Hydration Stations Flyer
St.Pete College is in Florida, so Hydration Stations are important for Club events. This flyer highlights where some of these stations are located.
Helping students stay hydrated, and giving them a place to ask questions or find help around campus. This is also a good place to market the clubs and their events.

Additionally, the printing capabilities of the college were limited to a printer that, for reasons beyond my understanding, could only print out Word Documents. So all my work in Illustrator had to be converted to PDF and then to Word, and then further edited once in Word.

Welcome Week / Club Rush Flyer
Welcome Week Event Flyer for the St Petersburg Student Government Association (Tarpon Springs Campus).
The Welcome Week flyer was inspired by coupon flyer designs. I wanted the date to stand out. The artist manakin-image had such amazing emphasis and energy. I felt that it was representative of a new, yet-to-be-refined, student, ready for their college experiences and eager for new perspectives.

9/11 Poster / Flyer
Stark and simple, this 911 Event poster was required to catch attention respect and consideration. Simple minimalist black and white design. Client required more information on page. Highlighted event times and locations.
The 9/11 flyer had to be stark, simple, and somber without being depressing. I tried to slim down the informational load, but the information was deemed necessary. The same design was printed slightly larger and hung in higher-traffic areas.

VOTE! Flyer
Get out and Vote Flyer design.
It was a very active year for the SGA to try and drum up more eligible voting students, and get them to care about their national political environment. As it was a Party-neutral event, the flyer needed to keep to a very simple Red/White/Blue theme.

Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month Flyer Design.
This flyer received joyful tears of appreciation, as most of their event flyers were simple text-only with old clip art style works prior to this. While a bit busy in the background, it fits the tone, vibrancy, color, and energy that reflects the broad range of Latino cultures.

I gave them the raw files (Illustrator and Word), as a back up for any future events.

Drug Free / Red Ribbon Week Flyer
Red Ribbon Week flyer design for St Petersburg College SGA (Tarpon Springs Campus). Simple, elegant, powerful. A single ribbon that ends in a pair of encircling arms, ending with open hands emphasizes the need to love oneself.
This flyer was both the hardest (emotionally) and the easiest (simplicity of design) to create. Without going into too many personal details, I've lost loved ones to suicide. I can only hope that it brought someone to the help and support they needed.

Fall Festival Flyer / Poster
Fall Festival Event Flyer. Client requested specific wording. I was able to cut down some of it, but not all of it. These were expected to be printed as both flyers and large posters.
I was asked to load this up on as much information as possible. I suggested more than one flyer design. The author, understandably, was not pleased that her placement and "space" was "overshadowed". I offered to make an author-only flyer/poster, but was told not to worry about it.
